This program promotes physical fitness through a series of classes that are accessible, safe, and considered by HYROX HQ to be the healthiest way to train. Whether you aim to challenge yourself in the next HYROX competition or simply participate in HYROX classes to stay active and healthy, there's a place for you here.
The HYROX event itself is a thrilling challenge, testing strength, speed, agility, and endurance through a set of demanding physical tasks. It's an excellent opportunity for those who love the spirit of competition and teamwork. We’re gearing up to support as many members as possible who want to experience the rush of competing in the upcoming HYROX fitness competition.
But remember, participating in the competition isn't the only way to get involved with HYROX. You can also join us for HYROX classes right here at REVGYM, under the daily programming option of REVGYM H2 (Hyrox Hitt), as well as our regular Small Group Functional sessions that are always setting you apart with an “85% readiness” in strength, power, speed, and agility You can enjoy the benefits of this unique training style in a non-competitive, supportive environment. It’s perfect for those who are looking for an effective and safe way to enhance their fitness without the pressures of competition.

Here is breakdown of the HYROX competition format for adults and youth!
HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
Each race is hosted indoors in expansive exhibition halls, creating an immersive and electrifying race, where your spectators can support you from the very beginning to the very end.
This race format remains consistent across the globe, enabling global leaderboards & a cumulative World Championships at the end of each race season.
Accommodating both professional athletes, and everyday fitness enthusiasts looking to take their training to the next level, HYROX is the sport for everybody.

The HYROX competition is:
8 Stations & a 1km Run between each.
1km Run
1000m SkiErg
The first HYROX workout station is 1000m on the Ski Erg. This erg predominantly targets the arm, shoulder & core muscles, however when done efficiently, it also involves muscles in the lower body – making the Ski Erg a full body workout.
1km Run
50m Sled Push
The second workout station is 50m of Sled Push. This movement targets the lower body muscles, including the entire posterior chain, core & anterior thigh muscles in particular.

50m Sled Pull
Get ready to use your glutes, back, biceps & the entire trunk during workout station three – 50m of Sled Pull.
1km Run
80m Burpee Broad Jump
Born in 1939, the fourth workout station is a full body workout that is both loved and hated at the same time.

1000m Row
Station number five is the second ergometer in this fitness race. 1000m of rowing marks the beginning of the second half of your HYROX race.
1km Run
200m Farmers Carry
For 200m of Farmers Carry, engagement of your upper back muscles, core & grip strength is required.

100m Sandbag Lunges
Welcome to workout station number seven. Primarily targets the thigh and glute muscles, this one is a burner…
1km Run
100/75 Wall Balls
The final station… Wall Balls. With the finish line in sight, it’s time to finish your race in grit fashion!

With four different categories to choose from, HYROX is the sport for every body.
Whether you are looking to take on HYROX by yourself in our Open or Pro category, share the experience with a teammate in the Doubles Categories, or split HYROX four ways in our Team Relay category, we have a race for everyone.
Open:
Take on the standard HYROX for a challenge, but achievement race.
Pro:
For the experienced racer, heavier weights make for a more challenging experience.
Doubles:
Find a partner and take on HYROX as a pair; all of the running together but splitting each workout station as you choose.
Relay:
Perfect for gym teams, corporate & groups, this division splits HYROX between a team of four, with each teammate completing 2 of the 1km runs and 2 of the workout stations.

It’s not just for the grown ups!
Youth Hyrax!!!
The HYROX Youngstars initiative has been designed to provide children aged between 8-15 years old the opportunity to delve into the new world of Fitness Racing themselves.
The Youngstars race format differs by age group, ensuring that each workout is calibrated to their specific developmental needs and subsequently guaranteeing that all participants, regardless of age and experience, are provided an enjoyable and rewarding event.
With a joint focus on uniting both fun and challenge alike, the workouts are tailored for young bodies and minds, whereby their speed, agility, strength, and coordination are tested.
Shuttle Run:
During the Shuttle Run, the Youngstars are tasked with picking up a 1kg weight from point ‘A’ and then running to point ‘B’ where they place down the 1kg weight. The number of lengths each participant runs is dependent on which age category they fall into.
8-9 Years Old: 1kg Stixit from A-B for 300m (12 x 25m)
10-11 Years Old: 1kg Stixit from A-B for 350m (14 x 25m)
12-13 Years Old: 1kg Stixit from A-B for 400m (16 x 25m)
14-15 Years Old: 1kg Stixit from A-B for 500m (20 x 25m)
Ski Erg:
The second HYROX Youngstars workout station is a designated distance on the Ski Erg. This erg predominantly targets the arm, shoulder & core muscles, however when done efficiently, it also involves muscles in the lower body – making the Ski Erg a full body workout.
Assistance will be provided for smaller children or those who experience difficulty in reaching the handles, with two volunteers available to offer support.
8-9 Years Old: 200m
10-11 Years Old: 400m
12-13 Years Old: 500m
14-15 Years Old: 600m
Weight Pull:
Weight Pull is the station number three! Similar to the original HYROX Sled Pull, our Youngstars are tasked with pulling Stixits over a designated distance, with the weight and distance specified according to their age division for this workout.
8-9 Years Old: 15kg for 32.5m (3 x 12.5m)
10-11 Years Old: 15kg for 62.5m (5 x 12.5m)
12-13 Years Old: 30kg for 62.5m (5 x 12.5m)
14-15 Years Old: 45kg for 62.5m (5 x 12.5m)
Slalom Shuttle Run:
As running is a pivotal focus within HYROX, a shuttle run in combination with a slalom run is workout station number 4. During the Slalom Run, participants are tasked with transporting two small items, each weighing 1kg, from one side of the lane to the other.
8-9 Years Old: 250m (10 x 25m)
10-11 Years Old: 300m (12 x 25m)
12-13 Years Old: 350m (14 x 25m)
14-15 Years Old: 400m (16 x 25m)
Horizontal Jumps
Station 4 is jump-focused workout. This differs between Burpee Broad Jumps and Froggers, both of which blend strength, endurance within this crucial jumping element to present a multifaceted challenge.
8-9 Years Old: Frogger for 25m (2 x 12.5m)
10-11 Years Old: BBJ for 25m (2 x 12.5m)
12-13 Years Old: BBJ for 25m (2 x 12.5m)
14-15 Years Old: BBJ for 50m (4 x 12.5m)
Row
Station 6 allows participants to showcase their strength and endurance by completing a rowing distance tailored to their age group.
8-9 Years Old: 200m
10-11 Years Old: 300m
12-13 Years Old: 400m
14-15 Years Old: 500m
Obstacle Shuttle Run
Welcome to station 7 of the HYROX Youngstars – the Obstacle Run. This workout is a test of speed and agility, challenging participants to navigate obstacles and transport small weights between designated points.
8-9 Years Old: 250m (10 x 25m)
10-11 Years Old: 300m (12 x 25m)
12-13 Years Old: 350m (14 x 25m)
14-15 Years Old: 400m (16 x 25m)
Farmers Carry
Station 8 consists of Farmers Carry using Stixits. This workout is specifically designed to test grip and core strength as participants carry weights over a predetermined distance.
8-9 Years Old: 2 x 5.7kg Stixits for 50m (2 x 25m)
10-11 Years Old: 2 x 5.7kg Stixits for 100m (4 x 25m)
12-13 Years Old: 2 x 9.1kg Stixits for 150m (6 x 25m)
14-15 Years Old: 2 x 11.4kg Stixits for 150m (6 x 25m)
Wall Ball
The final station of the HYROX Youngstars is Wall Balls. This exercise is a blend of strength, coordination, and endurance, focusing on the precise throwing of medicine balls towards a designated target, and mirroring the finale of the original HYROX Race Format.
8-9 Years Old: 1kg Wall Balls for 30 repetitions (2m target)
10-11 Years Old: 2kg Wall Balls for 40 repetitions (2m target)
12-13 Years Old: 2kg Wall Balls for 50 repetitions (2.5m target)
14-15 Years Old: 4kg Wall Balls for 50 repetitions (2.5m target)
