ON SACRIFICE, WEEK 3…

You can live your life, only sharing your gifts when it it serves you, maybe not whole heartedly, but maybe you’re sharing something to get recognition, or to be “right”, or to feel important… you’re intent isn’t without sefishness.

So if living selfish… you’ll get the “ISH” kind of a life.

On the other hand, living selfless, with intent to serve, share your gifts, blessings, true knowledge that puts the receiver first and last, and any accolades you receive fall on humble ears, knowing you were fair, just, intelligent and knowledgeable with your advice or instruction, based on facts, truth, education, prior experience helping others, seeing others through to their rising above… then… your are living a life of selflessness… You are living with “LESS”… You’re not looking to fill or load or stroke your ego by giving… you’re just keeping it simple, true, and in alignment with your gifts.

Simply, don’t give if you’re just looking to be right, or righteous, revered , or applauded… sharing your gifts, your true being, your path, your “why”, from years of struggle, education, practice, failing, succeeding, caring, and giving up much to be in a position to genuinely share, giving up so much you have triumphed with “less”… then you’re living selfless. Which in the long run, will give you more than you can imagine.

When seeking a source of knowledge, education, ideas, gifts, healing, advice, care…. do not seek the one with limited experience in being selfless… seek the gifts of those that have given more to others than they’ve ever asked in return.

  • Our next FREE Firearms Safety & Handling + Advanced skill sets WAS STELLAR this last Saturday! We had brand new practitioners and advanced defense practitioners adding up to over a dozen going through the paces of Safety, Handling, Drawing in close quarters, Distance management in CQB for retention, and Combat reloading. Great work everyone!

  • YOUTH MARTIAL ARTS - ’ “Bring a Buddy” to class is this Thursday, June 27th @ 4:30pm. Fun session, anti bullying, martial arts games, a great workout and healthy treats!

  • YOUTH MARTIAL ART BELT ADVANCEMENT - Thursday, July 18th, 4:30pm.

  • IRON ARSENAL - Intensive “Get off the “X”” will be July 20th, 8-10am.

    • Threat ID: Situational Awareness practices, trade craft skill sets and application for everyday to mission.

    • Environment & Range management

    • Understanding and managing transitional spaces, events, and low “control” scenarios

    • Vehicle internal, external, rolling and stationary “do’s & don’ts”

  • WOMEN’S PERSONAL PROTECTION & SELF DEFENSE will be Thursday, August 1st, 6-8pm.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING:

  • MASS

    • Heavy shit…

    • Up your everything intake.

    • Take up to 1/3 of your first protein dose 30 min prior to training.

    • Push the remainder of your first protein within 20-30 minutes after your training.

    • Get your supplements, electrolytes, aminos.

    • Push the water.

MARTIAL ARTS / MMA:

  • Striking to grappling for positional control and set ups to finish

  • Kesa series from Dirty Judo

  • Head lock series from sprawls

  • Submissions from the bottom - set ups from sweep attempts

  • Varied sweeps from bottom for guard, side control, kesa, and mount.

  • Underhook escape side control to:

    • jump in triangle

    • sweep

    • sit out to anaconda or d’arce

  • Side control to opportunistic kimura, armbars

  • Range management in & out for striking and grappling flow.

YOUTH MARTIAL ARTS / MMA:

  • Setting up O’Soto, Ogoshi ,Tai o’ Toshi, Harai, & Sag trips

  • Finding the “Inside Rip” to offset opponent/assailant for the above

  • Catching kicks to takedowns

  • Mount sweeps

  • Speed/Reflex drills

  • Counters, Sprawling after striking is countered.
