Last week was tough… and so many of you showed up and faced that mountain! Good on you! let’s keep that momentum!
I know it’s hot out… doesn’t matter.
I know summer schedules can flip your “gym time” upside down… can’t matter.
Business travel, vacations, holidays, all a normal part of our lives…
If YOU MATTER, (which you do), these things can not, will not, be obstacles that keep you from getting the work in you know you want, need, and ultimately, must have to continue on your path.
It’s easy to get the work in when your gym time just fits nicely into everyday life…
But are you committed enough to MAKE TIME when it’s really easy to blow it off cuz
”WHATEVER”?
Implement a plan when summer, heat, vacations, holidays, all hit… you plan the rest of your life, do not make your time for you secondary “just because”…
We “MAKE TIME”… the thing we can’t do is go back, or get time back… it’s in the moments of trial, hardship, facing adversity, digging in that time will exponentially be on your side… the results WILL show!

JARED HIGHTOWER is our WINNER of FIGHT CAMP! - I’m so proud of you Jarrod! you made it in every morning at 5am, some days being the only person on the mat, and showed real dedication to the process! Your techniques improved exponentially over the camp, and you never cut any corners with the training and what you were asked to do! Excellent example of dedication, discipline, and drive!!!
GAMMA (Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts) UNDER 18 TOURNAMENT - We’re holding a GAMMA Tournament here at the gym September 13th & 14th! A FREE officials seminar (referee & judge) will be September 13th, 5-7pm, as well as early weigh ins at 5pm. Saturday the 14th, weigh ins will commence at 9am, and first matches will begin at 11am. We’re looking for anyone who’d like to assist with the tournament, as we will need bodies for organization, ticket taking, runners for athletes, etc. Please let me know how you can help! Thank you in advance! Come watch Youth Team “Fight University” take on the region as they warm up for the World Championships in Indonesia this December! Divisions will be round-robin to get the competitors more mat time and experience as growing, elite athletes.

A big “THANK YOU!” to PV Police Department & Metro Security and Investigations for our continued partnerships and trusting in our methods! Our ongoing training with both departments/companies, saw some great work from officers this week! From de-escalation skill sets, to non-compliant, combative vehicle stops, to 2 man takedowns, and trouble shooting cuffing procedures, to Shoot/Don’t Shoot use of lethal force scenarios, it was a full spectrum week for The ISE Group & Iron Arsenal Defensive Tactics!
