REVGYM WEEK OF 06.10.24

REVGYM TRIBE -

SACRIFICE…

We talk a lot about “Do it anyway…”; “Embrace the suffering…”; “Work through the hard to get to the other side…”.. etc.

Practicing these things over time, feeling, seeing, experiencing change, I believe, becomes the “Love” for this kind of training and lifestyle… the love of change, growth, strength, empowerment… all through the “struggle”.

Over time, the original “struggle” isn’t so much… it’s now habit. So we “lean in” harder or with more frequency, or new goals to “find the struggle”… because we’ve learned that this is the way to the “Love of it”, the results, the next leveling… etc.

So… why do we sometimes run from the struggle in other uncomfortable areas of our lives? Communication, acceptance, hard conversations, career change, loss, and other “life” opportunities for growth?

Hmmm…

We have learned from our training that the growth, the “love” for it, our own and other’s growth comes from staying in the struggle, leaning in, sacrificing, suffering…

Because quitting, walking away from the pain, not leaning in, never affords us the opportunity of what’s on the other side of the struggle.

And what’s on the other side, almost always, is so much better and something you didn’t even begin to know was possible.

Bravery isn’t just doing a “hard” thing, or doing “what has to be done”… it’s being scared to death; knowing you’re scared to death, facing the fear(s), and doing it anyway.

You may fall on your face, get bloody, have heartache, deep pain and anguish…

Then you get up and “lean in” again, and again, and again.

The process, the struggle in the process, doing it, trusting that there will be light at the end, is the love, the magic, and wonderment of life.

So in this process I’ve tried to express, convey, teach, and lead by, here at REVGYM and on the mats of Fight University, that the short hours of the day you spend here are meant to bleed over into your everyday habits…

We become what we are willing to fight for.

Anyone can quit.

No one remembers or learns from the quitter.

No quitter ever left a legacy.

Do the hard things.

The love, light, and an incredible life you’ve never imagined may very well be on the other side.

Love you tribe… LEAN IN!
