REVGYM WEEK OF 06.03.24
REVGYM
TRIBE -
Are you a “kit car”?
You know, those Lamborghini shells on an imposter chasis and an inferior engine… but hey, it looks good right?
But you know what’s actually under the hood.
A lie.
Until challenged… no one will know you’re posing.
But when you’re truly challenged by the real thing, a superior engine, chasis, and talent… you’ll lose.
So you can hide… stay small. Do things that get you a pat on the back by people doing similar small things to hear the accolades of other small achievers.
It’s noise… but it’s just that. Noise.
Or, you can put things on the line.
Possibly fail.
Over and over.
With the actual opportunity to grow.
Staying humble and seeking knowledge, improving incrementally over months, years…
Then win.
Then what?
Then, you give, you serve, you sacrifice, so others may learn and you continue to learn from them.
We are here to serve.
Whom does a “kit car” serve?
Only the eyes of those not caring to know the engine or the chasis.
Those just wanting a snapshot of life…
Not wanting to know the real sacrifice it takes to become something beyond yourself.
When sharing your accolades, achievements, and growth with the intention of inspiring… you also have a responsibility to know your audience.
If I teach someone in the ways of violence without knowing them… whom may I be teaching?
If I merely share skill sets randomly, without context, without care, concern for the weight the images, media, and knowledge involved, I’m beyond irresponsible… I’m negligent.
If you are seekiing to fill a void with a “kit car” by pats on the back by anyone, or emoji’s declaring your greatness… who are you actually hearing from?
Give more then you receive.
Share your true gifts.
Sacrifice your ego and your self righteousness.
Your cause should cure.
Let me say that again, Your cause should cure.
You can not feed anyone with an empty pretty plate…
Be of substance.
Build your engine.
Strengthen your chasis.
Then stay quiet and serve loudly.
