REVGYM & FIGHT-U WEEK OF 09.09.24 - IT'S FIGHT WEEK!!!
TRIBE,
Are you living in a comfortable state of compromise?
Complacency to who you know you’ve been called to be?
Fears of all kinds have driven you to a safe bubble of “I know who I am and what I am capable of… I’m comfortable and “happy” here”.
The “comfortable”… is it really?
What do you tell yourself when you fall short?
It’s “OK!, I’ll get it next time?
Or, that was “Ok for today?”..
Followed by “Because I…” ?
That “because” is you leading with your compromise. You’re leading with your complacency towards a greater calling; to your “WHY”… to who, what, and how you deep down know, and feel in your heart and bones, you’re supposed to be.
I have fallen into that space… allowed myself excuses to “be who I want to be” as opposed to listening, staying on the harder or correct path… all in the name of “my happiness”, avoiding my fears by filling that sensation with complacency towards my calling, complacency and comfort in “this is what it is”, “this is fine”… all the while knowing that leaning into the path will ultimately be harder.. for a time… but giving into the fact that I am worthy of greater things for myself, my family, and all those around me.
How many times do you find yourself compromising your incremental, consistent growth, by justifying your laziness, your instant gratification, your complacency and lack of discipline, with phrases like:
“But I deserve”
“I can do it tomorrow”
“It’s just a slip up, I’m human, no big deal”…
But those voices can and will become habit.
And the actions taken to continue to support those undisciplined habits will effect not only you, but those you love the most; your family, coworkers, friends, and even those you may come into contact with in your life by following your “WHY”; that you may never have or “see” the opportunity if you stay where you are, listening to your “complacency mix tape”, and not leaning into the vulnerability, and suffering it will take to become and live as who you are supposed to be.
Step up this week.
Iron sharpens Iron…
Be the Iron…
Be the fire that forges the blade…
Be the blade that cuts through all of your fears, doubt, regret, shame, guilt, and spills those useless entrails onto the floor…
Rise Tribe… It’s time.
