You want this or that.
Take it!
And know... if it came easy, by way of "shortcut", avoiding pain, suffering... risk of psychological or emotional upheaval... it will most likely, (like for fucking sure), NOT STICK.
You want change for good?
It's incremental.
Why?...

Spaces, Holes, Blindspots, Fear driven avoidance, Guilt ridden performance barriers....
ALL Bullshit.
Not that these things that stand between us and personal internal, external, psychological, emotional, and even financial extraordinary success aren't "REAL"... because, even though all of these gaps are truly bullshit... they're YOUR Bullshit. SO... for now, this moment, they're real.
CLOSE THE GAP.
Let's run into that first potential "obstacle" or GAP of the day...
The ALARM...
How do you hear it?
A greeting?
A scream?
An annoyance?
A reminder?
A threat?
"Weight"?
Opportunity?
A "Call to Arms"?
What voice answers in your head?
Mad at it?
Sad at it?
Angry at it?
Welcoming?
Elation?
Questioning?
Where do you "feel" it?
Your gut?
Your chest?
Your head?
Your spine?
Between your eyes?
What do you "do" with it?
Cuss and snooze button away?
Talk yourself into the snooze button?
Smile and breathe deeply?
Jump up and piss excellence?
Talk yourself out of the snooze button?
Grumble and "grind" on?
My bet is, if you've lived long enough, you've done ALL of the above.
Let's think back to some specific times, places, events, that you remember feeling and doing some of these exact things listed above.
Settle into those memories for a minute... good, bad, or ugly.
Roll 'em around in your mouth... some taste like fucking sunshine, and some like ball sack.... (spit if you need to).
Now:
Where were you?
What had you done the day before?
What was planned for that day?
Who was there?
What do you see?
What do you smell?
What do you feel? (physically, emotionally)?
Some of the above answers will matter... most WILL NOT.
BECAUSE...
It's your base, your structure, leading into that night's sleep, that effected the way you rose.
The stronger your base... your "prep":
Your commitment to rest,
Your belief in "recovering",
Your satisfaction with a "job well done" kind of day
Trusting in yourself going into the next day.
Knowing that you will, beyond the shadow of doubt, fucking smash the day that's coming!
If the base was there... no GAP in structure... the action/reaction to the alarm the next day will have been one of those positive memories.
NOW...
Find that formula.
Mix it.
Drink it.
Feel it in your bones.
Let it go cellular deep.
AND REPEAT IT EVERY MOTHER FUCKING DAY.

This is the first step... FOUNDATION.
