REVGYM & FIGHT UNIVERSITY TRIBE -

“BELIEVE” RND 2:

Once you’re in there… in your meatloaf, believing in yourself, and you know you’re on the right path, doing, serving, and there’s growth all around, because you’re following God’s will… you’ll trip up, stumble, fall flat on your face… even though it’s “going so well”.

You’ll face naysayers, jealousy, ego, bullies… and that’s maybe just in your own head… not to mention those that will have an opinion about your dream, your path, your purpose… because they’re not you…

AND… they don’t have to get you. They don’t have to like your dream. they don’t have to like your path…

AND… that’s ok… it’s not theirs.

You will feel alone.

You will feel isolated.

‘You will question yourself…

AND… just about then… you’ll have another breakthrough.

Because you’ve stuck with it. You’ve leaned in. You’ve believed in a higher calling; something bigger than yourself… and sometimes… people just won’t get it. It’s not your job to help them, or to even give a shit.

I was told to get a degree. I was told to “Just do your martial arts as a hobby”. I was told that “..gold medals and world titles don’t mean anything in the ‘real’ world..”, I was told I’d never make anything of myself practicing that “kung-fu shit” all the time. I was told I wasn’t smart enough to run a business, or own one.

And for a long time… those voices resonated and drove me even harder… I was fueled by anger… it’s a default for most men. It took me a long time… and a lot of losing deals, struggling and hustling for money, wondering when something would happen FOR ME….

I finally learned the more I made it about me… what I was “OWED” for all of my work… the more my dreams evaded me.

Only when I have been in my zone of genius, doing what I love, pouring into others, putting my literal blood, sweat and tears on the mat and the gym floor daily… did things become lighter, more fulfilling, and myself more grateful to my family, my wife, my children, and to God.

The power each one of you holds within you to become more than you could ever imagine is literally blinding with light… My purpose here is to help you, mentor you, push, pull, drag, crawl, or even carry you to gleen even a moment of that potential! It’s through the trials I program for you daily, push you on the mat and gym floor to rise again and again that will help you find that “ONE THING” that is you, that is yours to share with the world.

So yeah… I’m saying it again… BELIEVE.

CURRENT & UPCOMING STUFF:

  • GAMMA (Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts) UNDER 18 TOURNAMENT - We’re holding a GAMMA Tournament here at the gym September 13th & 14th! A FREE officials seminar (referee & judge) will be September 13th, 5-7pm, as well as early weigh ins at 5pm. Saturday the 14th, weigh ins will commence at 9am, and first matches will begin at 11am. We’re looking for anyone who’d like to assist with the tournament, as we will need bodies for organization, ticket taking, runners for athletes, etc. Please let me know how you can help! Thank you in advance! Come watch Youth Team “Fight University” take on the region as they warm up for the World Championships in Indonesia this December! Divisions will be round-robin to get the competitors more mat time and experience as growing, elite athletes.

  • POWER & ENDURANCE

    • Heavy(Iish shit, circuits and repetitive sets

    • Explosiveness on repeat

    • Up your everything intake.

    • Take up to 1/3 of your first protein dose 30 min prior to training.

    • Push the remainder of your first protein within 20-30 minutes after your training.

    • Get your supplements, electrolytes, aminos.

    • Push the water.

MARTIAL ARTS / MMA:

  • Striking to grappling for positional control and set ups to finish

  • Kesa series from Dirty Judo

  • Head lock series from sprawls

  • Submissions from the bottom - set ups from sweep attempts

  • Varied sweeps from bottom for guard, side control, kesa, and mount.

  • Underhook escape side control to:

    • jump in triangle

    • sweep

    • sit out to anaconda or d’arce
